Halo 3 Release Day Leaked?

The rumor mill is working overtime in regards to the release date of this highly anticipated game. November 15th is said to be the day. The rumor kicked off with a posting at ActiveXbox.com who claimed to have gotten it from an "anonymous executive in Microsoft's Xbox group".

It was then picked up by TheGameDrift.com, and then even posted at MLGpro.com.

Even if the rumor is bunk, history tells us that a November release date is highly probably, as HaloCE and Halo 2 both released in November.

Also, beta testing for Halo 3 hasn't even begun yet, so a Spring release date becomes less and less likely the longer it takes for the beta test to kick off.

That leaves a release date in the late fall, just before the Holidays, typical of a big name game such as Halo.

I'm sure Bungie will let us know plenty time in advance no matter what.

Im still hoping that Bungie will release Halo 3 on 7/7/07. With thier fondness for that number I dont see how they could pass that up.

With Bungie wanting to get the game perfect, and Microsoft wanting a huge release to enter the holidays with I can't imagine them hitting a July release with Halo 3.

I fully expect that we'll see a halo game or a gears of war game each November for the next several years.

well i can tell you that on game stop web ste that the realse date for my preorder was in Nov. 15 or 17 this was way before the leak so I guess this confirmes the leaked realse date

In my experience the websites that take pre-orders just have to have a date up there and are more then likely going by the same rumors as everyone else LOL. But who knows right, guess we will see sometime.

Been a while since I've bought a game on release date, but don't most games release on Tuesdays, just like DVDs? If so, November 15th is a Thursday.

Maybe it doesn't matter, but H2 did release on a Tuesday.

Isnt it obvious that they would release the Game around that time.
Its the Money making Month of the Year.Reguardless of how popular the Franchise is. They know that People who wouldnt buy it in the Summer or Spring Months will definately buy it in November just for the sake of Christmas Shopping. There goal is to reach other buyers besides the hardcore Gamer. And they will get that in November.

Why do companies make games come out on the most inconvenient days such as a Thursday. Why can't they just make the game come out on a Friday or Saturday instead of making me skip work??

If it's anyting like H2 it could be 08' before we see this game. They could ride the hype for another year or two and still break sales records. They'll bring it out when it's most profitable. I would go with winter 07', but my GUESS is just as good as anyones.

I think that's a little off. Games normally release on Tuesdays. I'd say the 13th is the more likely day.
