The Perfect Handheld Game

Just a little pitch for an ambitious Vita game.

I thought "Dust: An Elysian Tail" was the most under-appreciated game of 2012, but I've changed my mind.  It most certainly is Dokuro.

Dokuro is the most frustratingly wonderful platforming game to tantalize every one of your puzzle-solving brain muscles.  This is one hella captivating and charming game!  Your goal: safeguard the princess through dangerous but visually-entertaining worlds of near doom.  Where else can you beat the stuffing out of bad guys with your own leg bone?!?  How cool is that?  Don't assume that this enchanting game is a pushover, though.  It's plenty challenging: a tight, sweaty grip on the Vita and random cursing are required.

I can't help but come back for more.  Even though it's not necessary to collect all the coins, it's impossible to resist the urge.  This simple delightful pleasure, and that of trying to set new record times, give the game more replay value than I first expected.  All in all, a great game!
