The nominees were announced earlier this morning. I've seen about half of the movies that were nominated, so half of my list is personal preference and the other half from reading reviews and bullshitting with friends. My picks are in boldface.

I'm with you for the most part, but I think Best Picture will be The King's Speech.

I had the hardest time with Best Picture, both because there are so many choices and because 2010 really was a great year. The only reason I picked Social Network (which was not my personal favorite - that pick goes to The Fighter) is because its mass appeal may be more apparent to the Academy voters.
