Rules:
1. Custom tuning is prohibited except for Brake Balance.
2. Please drive clean and respectfully. This is a NON-Contact event. However lightly rubbing or leaning on another car is allowed as long as it doesn't result in rubbing the other car into:
A) A Wall or Barrier
B) A 3rd/4th Car,
C) A totally different direction
D) Anything too aggressive that may prompt your opponent to submit a complaint against you.
2. Each race night will consist of 1 x 6 Minute Qualification Event and 2 x 20 minute (approx) races.
A) First race starting positions will be based on qualifying results with fastest starting from pole position
B) Second race starting positions will be based on inverted finishing positions from first race
3. There are NO mandatory pit stop’s required.
4. Your lowest 2 race points will be removed from your final score.
5. Any cars found not to be built to spec and that have raced will be banned for the rest of the season.
6. Any complaints must be made by Private Message here on 2Old2Play within 24 hours of the race finish.

Handicap System
- Finish 1st - Next race must run on Race Hard tires
- Finish 2nd - Next race must run on Race Hard tires
- Finish 3rd - Next race must run on Race Medium tires
- Finish 4th - Next race must run on Race Medium tires
- Finish 5th - Next race must run on Race Medium tires
- Finish 6th or lower - Next race must run on Race Soft tires
Missing a race will not improve your tire selection
Please note that tire wear / fuel consumption will be set to Off so this will not require a pit stop during the races
All participants will start their first race of the series on Race Medium tires

Trying something new with this event. First, this is a fully stock event where only brake balance settings can be adjusted. Second, handicap system will be be in place in the form of mandatory tire selection based on how you finished in the previous race. Pit stops will not be required as tire ware will be sent to normal. Handicap system should prove interesting.
Gotta try something new with regards to handicap. With Tuning set to Prohibited, you cant add weight/ballast to the car.
oh yeah...any reason not to set the max HP?
Yes, since "Vehicle Tuning" is set to Prohibited, the car must be in stock form (from the dealership) and no adjustments to the setups (other than brake balance and tire selection) is allowed and it will not allow you to checkin to the race, so HP, Weight has no impact
Good answer.
The car sips fuel and is not really hard on tires either so there is no need for a pit stop even on real fast tire wear with this format. The car itself is a tiny bit tail happy under braking however if you are easy coming off the throttle at corner entry, its a piece of cake. Im typically not a fan of stock tunes/builds but this car is decent out of the box.
As for tires, in some initial testing at Suzuka, I was about 1.5 seconds off between softs and hards with the biggest factor being you can really push the softs to the edge and attack the track where as you have to be much smoother with the hards. Should be interesting if nothing else
BTW, I drove this car a while back and thought it would be perfect for a series. Great minds think alike!
Parcells can make the 2:00 EST time slot but prefers a later starting time...was always happy with 3:00 EST and I can go later than that.

Am I correct in thinking this will be 7pm gmt if so it's to early for me. I usually have my boys out to see there gran and not back till about 7-7:30 ish but can be later if visiting other family.
An hours later is good for me too.

With the daylight savings time kicking in the event will start at 1900GMT, 1500EDT, 1200PDT. I will not run into the grand am series time slot as I plan to run that series starting this week so it still sounds like its only e perhaps 4 of us then. lets see what happends over the next few days. My guess is that not much else will be joining :(
Great yet another car that i have to buy.
Shakedown race today @ 1500EDT (1900GTM). Hopefully there will be enough racers to get this going.

I figured out why the car was not able to enter the race - when I bought a new set of wheels for the car I bought the wrong size. I went back and put the 'standard' wheels back on the car and that's what allowed me back in the race. Only reason I went down a size was because the smaller size had the color I wanted :)
Also going to buy a new headset - these Turtle Beach ones are terribel - mic goes in and out constantly.

Thanks to everyone who came out for todays shakedown races. We had 8 racers and the cars were a blast to run. I have updated the first post with an additional rule in that all racers will start their first race in the series on Race Mediums. Additionally, I will be opening this up to some of the guys over at GTPlanet however I will hold off on announcing it over there until MOnday so you your interested in the event, please sign up now as 2O4F guys have priority

I'll be driving a lime green car with black wheel, #65. For me, this series is going to be weather-dependent : if it's a nice and sunny afternoon then I'll most-likely be outside or at a baseball game with my kids. Saturdays are usually kind of hectic at my place, but one kid was sick today so I had an excuse to stay insde. I'll make whatever races I can though - fun car!
Car color updated...Lotus yellow of course and even though yellow wheels looked awesome I went with black as the car looks angrier with black wheels!
