Sunday Night Series? (...or another night if enough interest)

How many would be interested in a 1-track-per-week series that would be held on Sunday nights (say,at 8pm EST?) I'm open for other nights, but I've always like racing on Sunday nights because it's a good way to wrap up the weekend heading into the work week. The format that I have in mind would be this:

The Car:   I'm open for suggestions. I like variety and would prefer to set a HP and Weight restriction that would remain in place for at last three weeks. That allows every one a chance to see what others are running and to make changes if necessary.

Race Format:   I like 'Saturday night short track racing" format (even though it would be Sunday night) meaning that there would be two features and a main event. The starting grid in the first race (Heat A) will be based on qualifying order. The second race (Heat B) would be reverse-order from first race. The final race would be reverse-order from the second race.

Grid penalties for jumping starts will be in place. I'll leave car tuning up to a vote - I dont care either way. Any other race options will be open for debate - although, to keep things fair, all races will be rain-free. In keeping with the feel of a Saturday night short track atmosphere... Practice, Qualifying, and Heat Race A will be held in daylight; Heat Race B will be held at dusk; and the Main Event will take place at night.

Race Length:   The race length will be two short races and one main event, with the laps run in the Main Event equal to the sum of the first two races. For example, if we were to run at Spa, the Heats A and B would be 5-laps in length; Main Even would be 10-laps in length. I'd like each week's racing to make up no more than 90-minutes from the first lap of practice to the final checkered flag.

Points:   I'm all for a points series. To hold the weight/HP restriction in place for 3-weeks, or to even just pick one and keep it in place for many weels, gives every one an opportunity to change their car as needed. Even if you think you have a good car one week - do you keep it for the next week?

Points Format:   The points-per-postion from the Main Event will be equal to the sum of the points-per-position from heat races A and B, and everything will be in multiples of five. For example - if first place awards 50-points per heat race A and B, then finishing first-place in Main Event will earn 100-points. However, the final points earned each week will be (average points Heat A and Heat B) + (Main Event points.) Averaging points from the A and B heats will hopefully discourage people from sand-bagging in Heat B in order to have a favorable staring position in the Main Event.

Just chime in here if you're interested. If Sunday nights dont sound good them post your suggestion.

The onyl nights Parcells is available for racing would be Wednesday, Friday or Saturday and even those I can't commit to every week especially with summer on the horizon. What about a bi-weekly or monthly event? In any case best of luck getting commitments and/or just plain feedback, its proven very difficult with the GT6 crowd.
