Picked it up for the PC this weekend on a Steam Sale.  Figured for $20 it would be worth piddling around in for some single player enjoyment.  Love running the Sierra up the California coast.  :)

Let me know how you like it, I was thinking about getting it myself.  There are a lot of negative reviews that indicate multiple problems with it!

Most of the problems are gone.  Load & save times could be better.  But an absolutely fine single player career game.

It's worth it on sale (I personally wouldn't pay full price for it just due to the limited use I know I'll get from it).  I don't foresee me spending a lot of time with it.  I still haven't tried multi-player on it.  For multiplayer racing I still prefer rFactor, rFactor2 & iRacing.

The only playable issues I have had has been framerate issues when trying to run the Azure locale.  I suspect that's largely due to my CPU though, as it's a bit outdated.

Are you guys familiar with these sites?

Project cars setup database - http://projectcarssetups.eu/#/bycar

Force feedback settings - http://pcars.oscarolim.pt/cars

I use the feedback settings site more than the other one. You can register and keep track of what settings you've applied to which car.

Have used the setup database before but frankly PCars manual tuning input is not for me.  I enjoy the instant gratification of using someone else's hard work and applying it immediately to my cars like in the Forza games.  So I mostly run the PC cars stock.

I know this is not the exact thread for this but didn't want to create a new one.  My apologies.  But a little race recap here.

Started season 4 with an endurance contract with a RWD LMP1 team.  Ran appropriate AI difficulty to qualify 6th in class (last), 13th overall out of 30 for the race on Watkins Glen GP.  Rolling race start and applied too much throttle and slid into the pit by accident so my race started 45 secs late and was dead last in the field.  Tried to restart but remembered (after I checked the menu) that the “no restarts” rule was in force per my wishes.  Settled down to try and make it some kind of race for the next 30 mins.  I had wanted a shorter one tonight from the 3 hour default.  All went well until lap 2 when I discovered that the guard rails cause damage and had to pit for the 2nd time in 2 laps.  Finally got my head out of my a** and started to actually run a slow but consistent race even passing many of the lower class cars who had passed me many times before.

Lap 6 in the waning daylight gave me another thought that it might be a good idea to turn my headlights on.  All went well until lap 15 and some oversteer which allowed me to kiss another guardrail and visit the pits (after limping around the whole lap).  Thought briefly about retiring to the pit box.  But my stubborn streak won out.  Gathered what pride I had left and finished the race in 21st place.  6th in my class (last of course).  And was ecstatic to grab 8 points.

It’s now on to the next race.  Just like real life.  Am I a sissy if I throw on TCS?  Lol.

Well, if you like pain, then leave it off i say! I doubt any LMP's run without it anywhere in real life.

Most of the bugs are corrected and I pretty much drive them all with stock settings.

So I lost all my game save while trying to save a 30 min race replay.  Was extremely disappointed by seeing that PC does not use a credit system and I could care less about winning any race series so it could be much worse.  Started a new career in the Endurance category with the AM GT4 and proceeded to place 10th out of 14 in a dusk to night 15 lapper in cockpit, with telemetry off and obeying all my self-imposed rules of the road.

I’m not happy the game developers couldn’t sort out this type of glitch pre-launch but now understand the frustration of gamers when I’ve read their posts in other forums.  If PC was like other racing games I don’t know if I would start from scratch again.

Other than car set-up (which I suspect you don't put much time into) PC seems the perfect game to lose a game save because you start out with access to everything.

Haven't raced since a week or so before Christmas. Been a fairly pleasant sort of forced break, my first in many many years but I;m ready to come back. That probably wont be for another 2 weeks unfortunately but there ya go.

Actually I've been playing more FM6 lately.  Once figured a simple way as to how to do the career and not go crazy it is a fine game.  Many night it suits my ADHD personality.  Always something to do.  Not that I'm bored with PC.  It is still the cats meow for the RL stuff.  But FM6 keeps me busy jumping around.  I like the ghost lobbies etc. And I like to watch SarcasmoJones puff on his e cig during breaks while he's broadcasting.  lol.

As RacerPaul my buddy says.  I'm happy to have them both in my collection.
