Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia

I love this show. My favorite part is its authentically Philly inspired. The way people talk, the locations they show and talk about, and the feel of it is just like my hometown.

Do they throw snowballs and batteries at Santa, because it's not a true representation of Philly if they don't.  Or that's what all the Philly haters tell me.  smiley

Yup! We also get plastic beer bottles at Phillies games. Why they don't just pour a beer into a plastic cup, I don't understand.

FX is an awesome source for great shows. Unfortunately, they're all behind strict licensing. I'm a season or two behind on Always Sunny because I'm too cheap and lazy to buy, rent, or steal.

But bitching is free and easy.

FX fucking RULES. Louie and Archer kick ass too. Have you ever seen the show Testees? It didn't last long, but it was comedic gold.

That was one I always meant to check out because who hasn't thought about being a professional guinea pig? Unfortunately, I never did. I didn't know anybody who watched it either. I had to look up how long it ran: 13 episodes.

It's available on Hulu, so I'll check it out next.

There's one where they take a drug that makes them immune to pain, so they think they're superheroes and begin mutilating themselves. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe.

I wish I had got on the Sunny bandwagon earlier, it's really funny. The nice thing is that it's not very serialized, so jumping in at any random episode is pretty easy. Bonus for me is that I work with a guy that's kind of like a smarter version of Charlie, but resembles him.

my wife keeps trying to get me to watch this.. but i hate danny devito (he looks like a carney - small hands/smells like cabbage).

Would this show be on par with Workaholics or Wilfred?

Danny Devito is great it in. He's a real bastard in the show so since you don't like him it could work. He doesn't show up until the second season so give the first a try to see if you like it.

Better. But I recommend starting from season 1 if you can on Netflix. The first 3 seasons is what makes the show. You gotta learn each characters quirks in order to get the jokes. Its like Seinfeld in a way, you had to know Kramer was the doofus, George was the insecure terrible ladies man, Jerry the emotionless un attached person,  etc..  in order to really appreciate the show.
