New Releases: Week of April 27, 2015

The list of new releases is getting a little longer this week, and there are actually a few I’ve been waiting for. Woohoo! Finally getting my complete return on investment for telling Tim Schafer to shut up and take my money! Kerbal’s finally out of beta and you might actually have something to use that PS4 move controller with!

This game has been in a pretty impressive public beta since 2011 and they’re finally ready to release the official 1.0. It’s an awesome sim that teaches the mechanics of space flight and running a space program. You control humanoid aliens called Kerbals, which are kind of a cross between Despicable Me’s Minions and Ubi Soft’s Raving Rabbids. If you haven’t already picked this one up now is your time!

Broken Age Act 2 and/or The Complete Adventure

In 2012 more than 87,000 Kickstarter backers told Double Fine to shut up and take their 3.45 million dollars. This was a Kickstarter record by leaps and bounds and way more than then $400,00 they were asking for.  But apparently adventure games are expensive and time consuming and they started running low on time and money and decided to break the game up into episodes. Three years later we’ve got our full game! Huzzah for the conclusion of Shay & Vella’s adventure! This is definitely what I’ll be playing this week!

Originally released on XBox 360 and PC a few years ago, this collector’s edition is coming to XBone.
