New Releases: Week of September 14, 2015

The start of football season can mean only one thing in the gaming world: the sports games are coming. The new Madden hit a couple of weeks ago and I can only assume that we have more to come. On the flip side of that coin, the big AAAs are starting to drop as the push for a green Christmas starts in earnest. Let's hope that they aren't all completely broken this year (I'm looking at you, Ubisoft.) This week Royalty will visit the Nolan household, TESO gets capitalized, Turn 10 cranks one out, Sony goes full arson, some Japanese stuff happens,  and that sports stuff that I opened with.

Destiny: The Taken King DLC

Destiny TTK

Release Date: September 15

Platforms: PS4, PS3, XB1, 360

Oryx, The Taken King, is mad at you for killing a relative and is bringing his Hive Dreadnaught to pound your ass into submission. It's a good thing that Bungie is giving out early Halloween goodies out to all the good Warlocks, Titans, and Hunters. New subclasses and new weapons will give hopefully justify the $40 pricepoint.

Disgaea Triple Play Collection

Release Date: September 15

Platform: PS3

If playing three games that I never heard of for the same price as The Taken King on a last gen console sounds too good to be true then prepare to be amazed! This collection contains Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice, Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten, and Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness. You could go full dubbed English, but I would suggest playing this in the original Japanese...I promise it won't make a bit of difference.

Flame Over

 Release Date: September 15

Platform: Vita

Vita owners are in for a treat! This looks like one of those "easy to play, hard to master" games with an old-school progressive difficulty. Too bad it's on the Vita.

Forza Motorsport 6

Release Date: September 15

Platform: XB1

The last Forza game fell considerably short of the benchmark set by its predecessors, but Turn 10 is ready to kiss and make up with 450+ cars at launch, a plethora of new racing environments, new tire physics, and the 2017 Ford GT. You had me at 450 cars, Turn 10, but will it be enough to bring the 2old4forza band back together?

NHL 16

Release Date: September 16

Platforms: XB1, PS4

Man, I hope the game is better than the cover, because the cover art sucks ass.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2016

Pesplayer.eu – Pro Evolution Soccer

Release Date: September 15

Platforms: PS4, PS3, XB1, 360, PC

I've never actually seen anybody play these games, but Konami still makes one every year.

Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson

Release Date: September 16

Platform: 3DS

Nintendo scores a portable WTF with this female ninja brawler that focuses on boob physics...sigh.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Imperial City DLC

Release Date: September 15

Platforms: XB1, PS4

This expansion was promised on August 31, but is finally hitting Tamriel this week. Xboxers will get this one on 9/15...Sony gamers have to wait an extra day.
