I was just thinking about when I was growing up, we lived in an extremely small rural community where there was one broken caution light and one general store that you could go buy a "Cokie" Cola and moon pie and a few grocery type items.  We had a television, but it only picked up three channels and other than that there was no other ready made entertainment.  So, my brothers and I had to entertain ourselves.  We would do the usual cops and robbers sort of stuff, but being 5 years difference between each of us, they outgrew this make-believe entertainment well before I did.  So, I learne

Team Players

Its amazing what a difference it makes to be on a team with folks that play as a team.  No matter what youre doing or playing, the sheer pleasure of being with a group of people working together toward a common goal is a great feeling.  Whether winning or losing, if the team youre on works together it still turns out to be an enjoyable experience. 
Thats why Ive enjoyed so much this site and the people Ive met and played with(for the most part :) ).  I love gaming, but its so much more fun when you do it with good sports that just dont want to win, they want to play.

Happy Day After Valentines Day

This has probably been mentioned to death, but I thought Id just say that I dont understand how anyone can think that their significant other has to spend a fortune on Valentines day to prove or symbolize their love.

I always enjoy getting presents, but for a man (which is who is usually expected to plunk down a load) to pay 60-100 bucks for flowers that normally would cost halve of that, or to expect extravagant gifts of jewelry or hundreds of dollars toward whatever it is that proves your love for your significant other, is ridiculous.

Different Personalities and Gaming Styles

As this site has grown, more and more personalities have been added to the mix.  Some of these personalities are breaths of fresh air, while others not so much.  With different personalities, comes different ways of gaming and communicating.  Some are more enjoyable than others, some are not enjoyable at all.  My personal preferences are not necessary the same as the site majority, so I try to participate in the areas I find pleasure in.  This, after all is what gaming and the site should be about.  After my gaming and site experiences over the past few months, I thought about what I do and do
