I grew up with GI Joe.  It was all about being American, being a good American.  Every dog on time they had a battle I think it ended with an American flag waving in the background.  So now, according to this:  http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,296054,00.html GI Joe will stand for "Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity".  What a load of crap.
