The Story of Edith Burns

Easter was yesterday, but the message is timeless. Someone sent this to me. It may be fiction; I have no way of knowing. But there are people like Edith. I know many of them.

THE STORY OF EDITH BURNS...

Happy Easter!

Edith Burns was a wonderful Christian who lived in San Antonio, Texas. She

was the patient of a doctor by the name of Will Phillips.  Dr. Phillips was

a gentle doctor who saw patients as people. His favorite patient was Edith

Burns.

A Time of Hope

IT'S not surprising people think Christians are nuts, especially at this time of year.

It seems incomprehensible that the story of Jesus rising from the dead after being brutally beaten and then nailed to a tree could be anything but mumbo jumbo.

Resurrection seems so unreal. It's the strange thought that our lives now are like seeds, yet to become flowers.

It's a nice notion, but hardly realistic to most of the world.

Too good to be true, perhaps - something even the wildest visionary never dared to dream.

Paradise

A teacher dies and goes to Heaven. When she gets there, she meets Peter at the pearly white gates.Peter says to her, "Welcome to Heaven. Let me give you an orientation first." So, Peter takes her to some beautiful mansions.

The teacher asks, "Who lives here in these beautiful houses?" "These are for doctors. They did a lot of good on Earth so they get a nice mansion,"  replied Peter.

Memorial

My mother-in-law passed away today at the age of 81, in her sleep. This is one of the last things she sent me, so I post it in memory of her. She was a wonderful person.
