Well, got the 360 casket, packed it up and shipped it off to Texas for repair/replacement. Hopefully MS will send me a new re-engineered 360 with an HDMI port & cable. Or at least a 360 with a better HSF assembly.  If Apple could figure it out with the G5 Power Mac, MS should be able to work out the 360 heat issues.

Meantime I guess I'll have to do my gaming vicariously through all those posting about COD4. It sounds like everybody playing is having a blast. I guess I'll join y'all later.

SoFla is getting the first cold snap of fall. It got down around 60 F last night and should do the same tonight. Highs may hit 80 F. Time to break out the cold weather gear - parkas, sweats, coats, comforters and blankets. Get them all washed and/or aired out from storage. Good time to air out the condo and maybe turn off the AC.

After a quick test drive I put some money down on a new car. I'm getting a '08 magnetic gray Scion xD.

So, went to turn on the 360 tonight and what did I get? Three quads of red. Yep, general failure. Red-ring-o-death. Must be why it is a whole lot quieter, too.

I guess I'll do some basic troubleshooting later in the morn then call for a casket. Hopefully I won't need a receipt because that has disappeared itself rather well.

Watch closely because here comes the recap... if you aren't paying attention, you might miss it: If your Xbox is depressed, try playing seven days in a row like NotStyro did last week. It has a way of making you a bit giddy... Our gamerscore jumped 85 points which was nice. Getting 11 achievements has that effect. Also, by my expert calculations, NotStyro's favorite game last week was The Orange Box. He played it on 7 of the days.
