Fear is kewl...

Well, since the last posting I have played more Fear. This game is very well written and cool. Sure, there are some problems - like sometimes not being able to pickup ammo or weapons, spinning objects, and those interactive hallucination sequences.

...and so it goes...

A big thanks go out to JediJames117, Speedbyrd and the others that sent PMs offering advice and help. I think I just need some time to cool-off before trying to take out Raam again. If I can get Dom to attack/distract Raam then maybe I'll have a better chance of success.

Great day to die, die again, & keep dying....

As told from the title I got back to playing GoW.  Had to go browse the web and find a walkthrough to give me ideas on killing some of the tougher enemies (ie berserkers & Raam), but in the end I finished the game - on casual. Just to be clear, by saying I've finished means that I won't be going back on that level, but I will try the online at some point. After spending countless lives and hours trying to actually kill Raam (the last boss), I consider that boss as dead. MS and Epic might not consider that an achievement, but I damn well do.

Happy holidays

So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young

Merry Christmas (War Is Over)
John Lennon

I'll join the rest of the gaming bloggers in wishing everyone a happy holiday.

Um, yeah...

Ok, I knew I wasn't amongst the oldest gamers on the site. Just checkin' to see if anyone would notice the post.

After yet another useless day of 'work', the only thing I've accomplished is listening to +80 tracks on the ipod. In ten hours I had 1.5 hours of work-like activity. After that was insurance - being present and available in case a major production system misplaces a bit and crashes. All the usual sysadmin duties...
