It has been a a few Olympics since I was really interested, but this one has been fantastic. Not because of Phelps and Co but because my kids are Soooo into it. My 10 year old likes it, my 5 year old daughter can't get enough of it and my 3 year old son is mesmorized. He knows "that swimmer" is really good aka Phelps.

My daughter now wants to jump of the high dive, ummmm honey, lets try a little gymnastics or straight diving first.

Good times.

So, as a few of you know I am a Pop Warner Football coach during the fall. I taught defense last year on the B team of 9-10 year olds and we went 0-11. The defense looked terrific every practice but come to find out the offense was just so much worse.

Well this year I am the offensive and defensive line coach on the A team and tonight was our first practice. Guess what, these kids actually listened and understood what I was saying this time. Not sure if we will win a game but I can't believe how much difference there is in comprehension from age 9 to 10.
