Then may I call your attention to Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats, who released their first CD today called "Meet the Meatbats." Most know Smith as the drummer from The Red Hot Chili Peppers who looks like Will Ferrel's twin brother. He's also been in the spotlight recently as the drummer of Chickenfoot, a supergroup featuring himself, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, and Joe Satriani.

I'm amused by the surprise, shock, outrage, etc. at Kanye's behavior last night at the MTV VMAs. Everyone knows by now this guy's flair for the dramatic, especially during award shows, references to which even appear within the lyrics to his own songs. Most chalk it up to Kanye simply being a jerk, and while I think that has something to do with it, it has more to do with being a genius at buzz-generation and self-promotion.
