A Very Tough Week

It's been a very difficult week.  Difficult enough that I didn't show up for Halo night with my clan...  I just couldn't motivate myself to join in on some multiplayer madness.

So, why am I being such a sad sack?  Things have been really difficult at the shelter.  My Pen Pal, Martin didn't make it out.  He was a great dog and deserved a home, but intake has been crazy and ther are only so many spaces available.  He was euthanized this Wednesday and my heart has been aching non-stop since.  I love volunteering at the shelter, but this is really throwing me for a loop.  I really need a win right about now.

I'll be meeting with a potential foster family this weekend.  Hopefully, that will work out and we'll be able to open another kennel...  Please wish me and the animals at the shelter good luck.  Thank you.
