Shared on Fri, 04/18/2008 - 10:03Generally I am excited about Friday, as are most people. Not today though. Today is the beginning of a ridiculous 5 day stretch for me at work. Have to stay late today. Work all day tomorrow. Preach and do PR on Sunday. Board meeting Monday night that will likely last until 10 or 11. Another PR/fundraising event Tuesday night. I haven't fired up the box in two days and it is starting to look like it may not get fired up again until the FFA tourney. THAT SUCKS!!!
Anyway, the countdown continues. Last night the wifey and I began a mad rush to get all the rest of the crap we have throughout the house listed on Ebay. Another one of the things on the list o' lists. I spent 4 hours yesterday evening (with a half hour break to watch The Office) in front of the comp putting stuff up on Ebay. If you haven't ever done that, believe me, it is work. The wifey spent the entire time in our "studio"- a curtained off section of our bedroom with my 5 bazillion candlelight flood lights set up for lighting- taking pictures of all the crap we will be listing. What little time I spend not working over the next week will be spent doing Ebay. And after Ebay... I'm beginning to think every minute of the last 3-4 weeks before we leave is going to be scheduled out for me as the wifey's OOCAD kicks in high gear.
What really sucks, though, is that once all this Ebay crap is taken care of, I'll still be left sitting at the computer. Converting DVD's and uploading DVR'd shows and then putting all that on the Zune. Add to that putting all the CD's and downloaded music onto the MP3 player, and I might as well glue my butt to my home office chair.
It'll be worth it. I know it will. Especially considering we will likely end up with around $2000 extra to blow on fancy dinners and ridiculously expensive clothes and souvenirs (I am going to try to find a WWII era Walther P38). The shows, movies, and music will be well worth it as well considering the amount of time we will be on planes and trains (the transcontinental flights alone will be 8 hours going and 12 hours coming back). But right now it sucks.
Enough complaining already. I'm gonna pimp some of our Ebay stuff. For those of you that are Bears' fans, these two items would be very special prizes. Being a casual fan of Da Bears, it was a little hard for me to put these up. But, someone will give them a good home and appreciate them more than I would. After the auctions end, I'll share with everyone how much of a steal they were for us to pick up.

If anyone has a real interest in these, let me know and we will end the auctions early for you.
So tomorrow is day 33 and Sunday is day 32. Being the weekend, I likely won't be putting anything up here. But, I'll be back Monday with a recap and a look at day 31.
