Shared on Mon, 05/23/2011 - 15:28I realize that most of you can't relate, but my oldest graduates high school Friday. It's a very small private school so we've had an honors program, class night, a baccalaureate (attendance mandatory), and graduation night is Friday.
On the one hand, I'm eager for him to be out. Next step in life, new opportunities, new friends, blah blah, blah. On the other hand, going to miss having him around and the regular routine of everything. In his mind, he's already gone from high school and starting college. He doesn't actually start at Auburn until fall, but that doesn't keep him from dreaming about it endlessly.
Rode a mechanical bull for the first time a few weeks ago. Perhaps some of you saw the videos posted by Tara of her husband's glorious ride. Well, I did better than that although nobody had a stop watch going. Felt like about 30 seconds. I might have had an unfair advantage, being stone cold sober (high school senior party, mustn't drink in front of kiddies).
It's a good thing I have things to do this summer because I'm pretty sick of the games out right now. Tried Brink, hated it. The GoW beta was fun. I was going to get it anyway just to complete the trilogy. The fact I like it just makes it better. It's all ok anyway, it's house painting time. Some of you might say, "That's just a weekend". You'd be so wrong. If I can put a coat of paint on it, it's getting one. The house, 3 porches, and 2 out buildings. No, not out houses, out buildings. Despite the fact I live in Alabama, we've have indoor plumbing for a few years now.
Is it wrong that I don't need the subtitles when I watch "Swamp People"?
Sorry for the disjointed ramblings, had Alphabits for breakfast and just crapped some out. Didn't they make pretty words?
