Sometimes life serves you a shit sandwich, mine was on pumpernickel. We ran into hard times and lost everything. So I guess why I am writing this to say thank you to all of the men and women of our armed forces for their contribution to the people of the world. My cousin is recently got back from the Middle East, not in a box, like my cousin Dean. So after a bout with an illness in my lungs, leaving me in and out the hospital several times we found ourselves with pretty much nothing. And when I say pretty much I mean nothing. When you have nothing every little thing means so much; small things like a football meant the world to my boy and some piece of shit stole his last year. It was at Christmas this last year that I realized that Santa wears camo and carries an M-16 rifle. I was forced to get toys from Toys 4 Tots for my kids; when I opened the bag full of items there was a new football for my son to replace the one that little bastard stole. Yea I know it’s only a ball, but it represented more to my son, Randy. It represented time with him and me. I guess it also helped to restore a little faith in humanity for me. We have started moving up in the world since I got ill. I am currently in school to learn a new career. So again I want to thank the men, women, and their families of our military for their sacrifice.
