I know I have not gamed or chatted a lot with my fellow clams, but I hope to change things in a couple weeks.

Work has really been taking a lot of my time. 12 hour shifts some days and still doing planning at home.

[rant]

I understand that some feel that after taking an absence from chromies their performance is not at par with their rank, but since when did we care about rank?

Losing a lot can be frustrating, but taking on lower ranked players is more rewarding?

Do you need to bully some rookies to fell better?

Why can’t we goof off using the Drunken Clam squad. I do it all the time. Shit yesterday I did a 1 v 3 and almost won. Did a 1 V 2 and walked thru them like a hot knife thru butter.

I hope you will realize that viewing from the outside it is no different than someone de ranking to play lower ranked players.

I really don’t understand the need for it. If it is all to preserve your rank in the squad while you build your skills back up, then you are valuing to much your personal rank.

But again “been there, done that”  I just hope you learn your lesson has I did.

Bug, I see your point and would like to offer you my side of the story. Others probably have their reasons and here are mine. Chromies gave us a lot of good friends that have spilled over into other games. Our new noob smashing squad is giving us the chance to play with some of these guys. I used to be the most devoted squad player next to stevieD. I was putting in 30-40hrs/week playing chromehounds as a Clam. I thought freebattles were stupid. The patch came and took this away. From that I learned to play other games with my new Chromehound friends. I had fun but still needed the chromehounds fix. Now I play freebattles, play war with the Clams, play with the DC's and i'm even going to play in a cannon tourney this weekend. I can't get enough again. I had an extra harddrive which I have never used. I put in the harddrive and opened another account. It has a 30 day free trial. I really doubt I will renew it just to play Chromies as a noob. It's a phase just like when others are playing crackdown,GH,Oblivion and any of the upcoming titles which will take us away from Chromehounds. Everyone will eventually come back.

Food >>> I read it. Still I don't agree. You guys can do whatever you find fun, but if you say that you play without pressure now, means only that You care too much about wining. Also I never mentioned anything about absence or anything on that matter. I do 1 v 3 because I find it a chalange trying to beat 3 guys. And I always chose Colonels. I don't play to add renown, I play for fun. Got my 2000 kill yesterday out of a Colonel.

For me, no, it does not mean I care about winning. To me, it frees me up to bring stupid hunds, for not worrying about who does what or getting pissed when someone does something stupid. Why? Because with my retard hunds, it means I do not have to hook 626 or someone that will just bash us with canned hunds. It means I can run an anything hund and not have to worry about an armadillo and gator and such, as these builds are rare. Why? Because when you play the level of competition the Clams play, you have to worry about tactics and get a little too serious about it. Why? Because when we hook good opponents, you know they are good AND you know everyone is counting on you to perform. With the DC, nobody cares. We hover, we leroy, we run stupid builds - why? Cause there is no pressure - if we lose, who cares. If we do something stupid, who cares. I was not describing your absence - if anyone should understand your work issues it should be me right ;) ?

I just still think you guys could goof of in the Clam. That is what we are about. I never blamed or got mad to anyone for bringing goof hunds. Shit... I gave you one of your first goofs. I was a Gold rank and droped all the way to recruit playing drunk and goofing off. What is wrong with going on batle agains 626 and start team killing? But again, if you guys feel that it is the way of releaving pressure, please do so, I'll keep on playing on the Clam and goofing off when I fell like.

goofing off is fun, but goofing off to just get destroyed is another. The want (abit a small want) to win is still there, but it is pretty much non existant when you hook a good squad with the standard hunds. It is the difference between having a bit of hope and having no hope. I am sure you will see us bouncing back and forth over the course of the month. Unfortunately I did not Clam it last nite as I was laughing my ass off playing as a DC ...

28 days left on my free account. Bug, thanks for this. It's better that this is discussed now instead of letting it simmer until it is brought to a boil. I think we'll all consider your thoughts and opinions.

I still think that everyone has the abilities to kick ass. I have played with almost all of you after the patch and we won one time or another. It is not the individual skill but , us getting used to each other again. I safety danced 2 guys yesterday. I wont mention the name of the squad so that it does not start any flaming wars, hint.... they are the real ones. It turns out that it sounds like a bunch of nice guys. I thought I was going to get trash talked when I send the GG but no. Nevertheless they did what they did in the past. I now have a beter hund than BoomBug I call it "Sir Drunkalot" Sorry for the rant but remeber, there are thousands on the xbox forums looking for something on the Clam.......
