So, I hurry over to the marketplace, and excitedly hand over my 560 points. I confirm, and then I'm notified that my hard drive is full. I immediately get thoughts of ordering one of those 250GB slims, but quickly decided against that.
Turns out, I just had to delete a bunch of crap arcade trials, and remove a game install I no longer played. Got me up to 20.5GB. It's amazing how much crap can accumulate on a gaming console. I really wish MSFT would allow for HDD customization, like the PS3.
In other news, my lady was at Target. A year or so ago, I taught her about Target Clearance, and she's always bringing home stray games like Chaotic Shadow Warriors, or Bakugan. Every so often, there is a good find in there. A game that just didn't make a lot of waves, maybe it was kind of generic, maybe it released at a bad time, maybe it was a new IP and people didn't give it much attention. Anyway, last night, she sees Tony Hawk Ride for $30. I appreciate her attempt. Yes, it's a game. Yes, it runs on the 360. Yes, it's about $100 off it's retail price. Yes, it's something we could potentially have fun playing. However... while the game started off with a decent "huh, maybe they released an update to correct the problems with the board", then moved to a "I couldn't see playing this regularly, but it might be a fun pick up game from time to time", then moved to a "FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT BOARD!!! THIS TRICK IS IMPOSSIBLE. I CAN"T EVEN CONTINUE ON BECAUSE I HAVE TO DO THtIS TRICK THAT DOESN'T WORK???? FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU!!!!". Then, I decide to chill out, check the 'net and see what I'm doing wrong. There, I'm greeted with such nuggets as "I've found that flip tricks only seem to register 1 out of 50 times, but I did a three hour calibration, and now, they register 1 out of every 5 or 10". This game has been banished!
I freely admit that I will try any game. However, this has joined games such as Armored Core 4, Hellboy: Science of Evil, Beijing 2008, Jumper, Rock Revolution, Fairytale Fights and Attack of the Movies 3D in the pit of banishment.
I think I'm going to play either Vampire Rain, Shellshock 2 or Damnation tonight to get this bad taste out of my mouth.
