Blood Stone, TDU2 and AAA Backlog

This weekend, Best Buy had 007 Blood Stone on sale for $24.99.  I've been somewhat interested in the game, but not $60 interested, so I bit on the deal.  The game is okay.  It took me about 8 hours to finish it, but I could go back to farm some additional gamerscore.  The on-foot missions were generally good, but the driving segments were awful. 

When I finished it, I decided to finally take the shrink wrap off of TDU2.  Probably not the best choice after 007's driving segments got me irritated.  I found the game dull.  Yes, I'm only at the very beginning, but license qualification was so incredibly boring to me.  After that, I received multiple friend requests from people who were just milling about.  Then, I get a call saying to go to one location.  On the way, I had racked up some FRIM dollars, however, when I tried to bank it, the game seemed to initiate challenges.  Wasn't real sure what was going on there.  Then, as I'm driving to the location on my GPS, another cat comes up (in-game NPC) and asks if I want to do some sort of challenge.  I decline, as I'm middle of my current task.   It just seemed kludgey to me.  For gameplay itself, I found the cars to have somewhat floaty handling.  All in all, it was a terrible first impression.  I decided to quit the game, and couldn't even find an 'exit to menu' option.  At this point, I doubt I'll play it again.

I then looked over my game collection, at the backlog of anticipated games that are still sitting in the shrinkwrap.  I really need to get around to playing Bioshock 2, Fable 3, Dead Rising 2, and others that are escaping me at the moment - Also, I think Bulletstorm comes today.

Funny thing happened this weekend.  I had an itch to play Conan.  The 360 game, not the MMO.  I popped it in and played for a couple hours.  I got a couple achievements while I was playing.  I went to check them out.  My last achievement before the weekends play was on 2/17/2008.  I then got one on 2/18/2011 and I guess one after midnight for 2/19/2011.  I must make a note to go back to the game on 2/20/2014.
