Giving Mists of Pandaria a Try

I think I'm going to give Mists of Pandaria a shot.  I went ahead and got my game client all set up last night, and will try out a monk tonight.  I haven't played WoW in any real capacity in about 2 years.  It's kind of funny, I've had the game since it launched originally and still haven't gotten any toon up to level 60.  While I was updating the client last night, I went back to SWTOR.  I like SWTOR, really, I do.  I just have had a couple problems with it.  First, my guild was more into the storylines, and getting pvp or raids together was almost impossible.  Then, there was a forced server change, and I lost my main character's name.  This doesn't seem like much, but it kind of kills the mood.  I got on the new server, but then, I had to rejoin up with my guild, and couldn't find anyone.  So, last night, I decided to give a Jedi a try.  This was okay.  I didn't get far, to level 6 I believe.  The problem there is that a lot of the people around me were jerks.  One of the reasons I couldn't stomach WoW was all of the kids running around, hitting on your mobs when you're in combat, ninja'ing an objective or chest when you were in a battle right on top of it, stealing crafting mats when you're fighting fight on top of it, etc...  Sure, these punks tend to get weeded out in later levels, but it is a drag to have to suffer them for that long. Now, I'm not looking forward to MoP too much.

Other news - I'm happy with the way Alabama's been playing, but we haven't really had any great opponents yet.  Michigan is probably a top 25 team, but not an elite team.  Arkansas is just terrible, and the directional schools we've faced haven't been all that special, although I did like watching Western Kentucky.  They played hard.  I may have to start following them more closely.  No real test for Alabama until Mississippi State.  This game concerns me.  It's the week before LSU, so our players attention may be on the rematch of the rematch.  MSU seems to be an okay team.  LSU isn't bothering me too much.  Sure, they'll be dangerous, but Alabama typically does well in Baton Rouge, and LSU's offense looked like crap against Auburn.   Texas A&M also concerns me as it's the week following LSU.  That's a good chance for a let down.  So, three games in a row, 2 of them classic "trap" games, and one of them a burning rival.   Before MSU, there is Missouri and Tennessee.  2 teams that Alabama should destroy on paper, but that's 5 games in a row where a slip up is possible.  Hope the team is focused going into that stretch.  One thing is certain, with the way Bama's schedule has shaped up, any slip up will guarantee being shut out of the national championship picture.

That's one thing Guild Wars 2 did correctly.  Nodes are all instanced, so no one can ninja ore, wood or plants.  The same item is available to everyone.

I still haven't checked out Guild Wars 2 - main reason being that my Guild Wars account was hacked and now I'm perma-banned.  I suppose I could just set up a new account, but haven't bothered after I got the rather curt "blah blah blah your account, you're banned" response.

I think I set up my Panda Monk or Greymane.  Only got to about level 7, but logged off due to the number of low level people swarming the quest points.  It's to be expected for a new expansion.
