Gaming-wise, it's been a pretty shitty weekend. It started off with the Move fiasco. I did some achievement whoring in Reach last night, and that was okay. Today, I upgraded my PS3 60GB drive to a 320GB drive. That went well, with all of the time being spent on backing up and restoring my data. I decided to finally play the God of War Collection. Got through some of it, and then came upon this part where I had to walk on some beams. I couldn't do it. Oddly, I think this same section is the part that finally turned me off of PS2 gaming way back when. In any event, I died an awful lot, got some bullshit trophy about getting my ass kicked and threw my controller in disgust. Ahem, I wasn't getting my ass kicked when I was playing the game, I got my ass kicked on a bullshit design choice that prohibited me from playing the damn game (gaming pet peeve #4). Then I popped in Heavy Rain to see if the Move controls were enabled, and it didn't seem like it. So, I went back to God of War, and I guess it doesn't save automatically. So, I'm done with that.
Decided to make my PS3 HDD into a portable drive, but it seems there's some proprietary file format, and now, I have to futz around with it to format it to NTFS or FAT32. Why must I have to jump through hoops to do a simple format? Irritating.
Decided to play some Reach SP campaign. It was okay, but I'm just in a very "meh" mood, so little things were getting under my skin way too much. Finally, I got to this spot on the 5th mission where it's just me against 2 hunters, and kept getting my ass handed to me. Guess I shouldn't have blown up that wraith. Oh well, I'm just not in the mood to play with underpowered weapons against overpowered enemies with a sixth sense who turn around whenever I can get behind them for a nanosecond right now . I feel like I need to get my groove back, but looking at my game collection, there's nothing jumping out and saying "For a good time, call on me". I've got a decent number of games. However, like cable TV, sometimes, even with hundreds of channels, there's just nothing good on. Gotta get out of this little funk of mine.
