Holidays have been decent

After enduring the Delta failure due to the storms up north, I'm happily back in Atlanta.  The trip up to Massachusetts was largely successful.  My parents met the lady, and my mother, who doesn't like many people, seemed to dig her, so that's a plus.  I always find it weird when I get Christmas presents from my parents.  I don't mind a little something, but they like to go out of their way.  This year was no different.  They got me a kindle and a fantastic porcelain football commemerating the Tide's 2009 (untainted) National Championship.  It's a real nice piece, and will look good in my Bama themed home office.  Still though, I'd be happy with a $25 gift card to Home Depot.  They have grandchildren now, and don't need to worry about splurging on me.

Gaming wise, I got Epic Mickey, and have been going nuts on Steam's sales.  Guess I'll have to fire up the Wii.  My lady got me some cool stuff - a set of Empire Strikes Back bedsheets was a pleasant surprise.

I've been treating myself a bit this holiday season.  I bought a nice popcorn machine for the media room, and an aquarium.  Just getting the aquarium set up now.  It's my first foray into fish, so I'm sure I'll have lots of love/hate moments coming up.  The lady got a sodastream gadget.  It's pretty cool, allows you to make your own sodas.  We did orange, root beer, diet cola and red bull.  The red bull is spot on.  The diet cola needs some work (may have carbonated it a little too much).

I haven't had any time to play the 360 lately.  Strangely, I'm not missing it too much.  Maybe because the last game I played was Splatterhouse.
