Homefront SP Final Thoughts

Yeah, the reviews about it being 4 hours were pretty much dead on.  There could have been so much more.  The game ends with you being a part of a major battle.  It would have been nice to see the game continue 6 months later.  Maybe not conclude the entire Korean occupation of the United States, but feel like I've done more than finish Act 1.  It feels like THQ tacked the single player on a multiplayer game.  Stupid move in my eyes.  A story like this needs to have character development. It should have been developed as an epic story driven game, with mutliplayer tacked on, or left out until the sequel.   I was finally getting into the game on the last level.  It was fast paced, there was a sense of urgency and the action was hectic.  It was great for that one level.  It's metacritic is at 70.  I think that if this game wasn't so heavily hyped, it would be sitting in the low 6's.

Oh well, no use crying over what coulda been.

Ya it was short, i enjoyed it for what it was though and played most chapters three times for the three different completion achievements so i got 15-20 hours out of it. I liked the final battle so much since it's local to me that I played that one a few times just for shits and giggles. But ya the single player feels bolted onto a multiplayer game but the thing is, the multiplayer doesn't even work. It might work now but for two weeks post-launch, it didn't work. All my friends left the game so I played solo most the time and grinded out the achievements then traded it in. I won't be buying another Kaos title until post-launch.
