I'm so freakin' tired

Last night, a guy from work and some of his friends wanted to play the Madden 3v3 thing.  I was game for that, and after a few games, it was midnight.  My girl then wants us to watch Big Brother because there's an eviction tonight and she wanted to be caught up.  That makes it 1:00AM.  Then, at 3:00, her kid decides he doesn't want to sleep.  She told him to go to bed over and over again, and he continually refused.  Finally, at 4:15AM, slumber catches up with him.  5:30AM, alarm clock goes off, and I'm starting my day.  I just can't fathom why this kid is so willfully disobedient.  It really gets on my nerves.  Took 4 weeks of tv away from him when he pulled the same thing last Saturday.  Throughout this whole thing, he just remained obstinate.  Only got a rise out of him when I told him that his brother would get a surprise from Celebration V, and he wouldn't be getting anything.

I really didn't need to go into work with such little sleep.  Had a meeting today, where I'm being asked to commit to a boat load of user interface changes by September 24, when the requirements aren't even completed yet.  I put the work at a total of 1200 hours, so between my team of 4 developers, there just aren't enough hours in the day.  This seems to fly by everyone's head.  Luckily, I stayed level headed, but I really wanted to get cranky with that whole thing.

One more meeting to go today, and then I have to take my poor little Timmy to the kennel.  I'm a bit hesitant to leave him for the weekend, but Lucasfilm's obvious discrimination against my hound is evident.  I would have dressed him up as a stormtrooper too, honest!

In any event, I kind of picture Timmy giving me a WTF stinkeye like this when I'm forced to abandon him in an hour or two.   Oh well, onwards and upwards.  Come 7:00AM tomorrow, I'll be jetting my way to Orlando for Celebration.  I hope to have plenty of pics and info.

You've got it all wrong! Poor little Timmy needs an IN-HOME pet sitter...and your girl's kid needs to be kenneled.
