Shared on Mon, 11/01/2010 - 13:34Shoot, I realized I didn't get a chance to post my NCAA predictions on Friday. Was busy with work, put in way too many hours lately. Not a big deal, I would have called the Mizzou and Michigan State losses, but probably would have also called for an Oregon loss and a UGA win. Oregon looks really good, playing complete games. I didn't watch much of the Auburn game as I was laid up with a wicked headache, but from what I saw, Newton is still on target for the Heisman, while spreading the ball out to some other players. Other than that, always good to see Notre Dame take a big ol' L, and way to go, Baylor. Bama vs. LSU in a few days. I admit it, I'm still shaken up about our loss to SC and our subsequent play. I think Bama wins by a TD or less right now. This is based on two observations - first, Bama's offense has started showing some signs of life. second, LSU just hasn't been playing with their normal level of intensity at all this year. Not against West Virginia, not against Tennessee, not against Florida and not against Auburn. Looks like the South Carolina game against Arkansas is effectively meaningless in the East (assuming Florida beats Vandy), except from the perspective of strength of schedule for the winner of the West. Either way, it comes down to Florida. Should be an interesting finish in both SEC divisions.
Target is having a buy 2, get 1 free on just about all 360, PS3 and Wii games this week. For some of the brave Kinect adopters, this may be a decent way to get an extra game. I was thinking of getting Vanquish, and my lady wants Hasbro Family Game Night 3 (mainly for Clue and Life) and also Monopoly Streets, so that may be a play (although only the Wii version may be available currently).
Just downloaded the new dashboard. No bricking or anything. It seems okay. Got ESPN and Netflix set up, both relatively easy.
On the subject of Kinect, I just can't pull the trigger right now. Granted, I may change my mind by tomorrow morning, but right now, I'm not seeing a compelling reason to buy a $150 add-on.
Finished the SP campaign in BC2 the other night. Pretty good, and I'm kind of upset with myself that it took so long for me to get back to it. Now, I just need to try out some onslaught. Heck, after MoH and BC2, maybe I'll finally get around to playing MW2.
