New Vegas - Why have you forsaken me?

In an earlier post, I mentioned the Frost Troll in Skyrim kicking my butt so far that I landed in New Vegas.  I really didn't like the game when it launched, but it started clicking for me.  I'm at the point where I'm 30 hours in.  I have decided to ally myself with the NCR.  I couldn't accept the Legion's slavery angle.

So I'm doing okay, and get invited to the Legion's compound.  I go and get my platinum chip, then the question is, what do I do with it?  I didn't like Caesar's idea of blowing up the underground bunker.  And Yes-Man just seems a bit too shady for me to put the Lucky 38 entirely in his hands.  I've tried it multiple ways.  Killing House and getting Yes-Man in - this draws hate from both the NCR and the Legion.  If I kill house, but don't turn the Lucky 38 over to Yes Man, and then go back to the Legion to try to turn in Caesar's quest, everyone there wants to kill me.  I can disguise myself in Legion gear, but the dogs still figure it out.  If I kill house, but don't let yes man, the Legion still hates me.

Bottom line, the legion hates me, but I need to go back to their fort to get some info to get the Great Khans over to the NCR side.  If I don't kill House, then both the Legion and NCR have quests that say if i continue working with House, they'll be pissed.  Totally not sure how to proceed from here, and considering just shelving the game entirely.  Just seems too buggy between the factions.

I went with killing house, giving yes man the platinum chip and activating the robot army. At the end, I left Vegas neutral and let Yes Man run it.

New Vegas only has the major players as unable to please, the minor factions just fall in. Whichever side you choose to back, it just pisses off everybody else.
