Complete or Return?

In the world of Gamefly, Game Pass and other game rental services it opens the player up to a wider range of games that they don't have to purchase at full or even discounted price.  Meaning playing both the good the bad and the ugly, finishing and returning for the next one.

Now what do you do when the game you have isn't what you expected?  Do you return it unfinished, or trudge through the last few hours to get the complete under your belt?  I'm currently playing Bayonetta through Gamefly and don't really like what I'm seeing.  It's not difficult in a good way, and instead finding it difficult in a cheap way.  Not caring for the leveing up system, the save system blah blah blah.  But I can't bring myself to returning it knowing that I've put 8 hours into it, and have only a few more to go.

So what do you do,return, complete, or throw your TV out the window like in the commercials?  And on another note, do achievements or trophies affect what you do?  Just something to think about.

If I'm not enjoying it, I don't waste my time with it. It dose gnaw away at me a little though sometimes...the feeling that I should finish what I have before getting anything else. Just spoilt for choice I guess.

if i dont enjoy the game i stick it in the box and ship it the hell back, most of the time ill spacificly search out the achievements and try to get as many achievements as possible in the 1st playthrough. but if i hate the game im not going to try to finish it.

For me it's not about the achievements/trophies, as is indicated on how low my score is on both systems. It's more about not wanting the game to "win," I have to beat it just because I can. But I am wasting my time with this, when I could get the next, better, game in the mail. Risk/reward I guess.

I tend to do achievement point research on games that i'm not sure about. I can usually get a pretty good idea of what to expect and achievement point difficulty and how long it takes to finish. THen if all things are favorable, i'm open to playing turds and suffering through them to get the 1000 gamerscore :)

Once I hit a wall where I don't like it, I don't waste the precious time of my short life in making myself push through something for only a number on a screen. If you aren't enjoying it, box that shit up and roll on.

I didn't waste my time with Bayonetta either. Returned it and maybe - maybe got 1/10 through it. Just wasn't enjoying it.
