House of the Dead Overkill

Now I'm sure like a lot of people I own a Wii, but it has sat and collected dust for a very long time.  Since they first came out my wife has wanted House of the Dead, but recently found it for $15 new at Gamestop.  So she picked it up as well as a "Sure Shot" gun holder for the Wii mote.  So we sat down to a night of killin some Zombies.  We didn't know what to expect, but we thought we'd have enough fun with it to make it worth while.

It was worth while and than some.  Even before the start menu we knew we'd like it.  The opening credits were just like a grind house movie and very similar to the movie"Planet Terror."  Than we heard the voice acting and were surprised to hear the F bomb dropped on a Wii game, and dropped a lot.  If you want a child proof game, do not pick this one up.  Great for parents after the kids have gone upstairs to bed.

Now my wife likes video games, likes to watch me play video games, but can't find many games she enjoys playing herself.  This one was right up her alley.  For many of the same reasons that many people won't like it.  First off it's on rails, so she didn't have to worry about moving around or getting behind cover, and could concentrate on killin zombies.  Also it had unlimited ammo so she didn't have worry about running out of getting any ammo pick ups.  Just could continue to unload rounds in the chest and heads.  And lastly that the story was humorous and interesting enough to keep us going to the next level.  This will be picked up again for a couples night of gaming.
