Misuse of the feedback system.

So in our clan forum the issue was brought about by an action by who other than Timmies.  One of our crew got suspended from XBL due to the feedback system being used against them.  It was because she...was a she and not a he.  Now just to make things clear, I think 'get back in the kitchen' jokes are as funny as the next guy.  I also fully recognize the fact that I've had my ass handed to me by a chick before also.

We as adults need to utilize the feedback system for ourselves and others.  Only recently have I gone through my friends list, clan list, recent players list and started leaving feedback.  I admit I should have been using it earlier.  It is there for everyones benefit.  There are threads where people bring up the issue of rep being douched by people who got totally slayed in a match.  A few people in my clan had the pleasure of playing with younger players who actually hung in there and played us, with themselves getting beat 4 out of 4 times.  I should have left good rep for them but they're off my recent players list now and alas I cant.

As things change, we should all utilize the rep system, not only to save our own, but to help weed out the bad ones.  Take the few minutes in the loading screen and rate your fellow players.  I'm not saying we should get all up in arms and get offended at trash talking.  It comes with the territory and we are ALL guilty of it.  If it gets out of hand, send a bad rate.  If someone talks trash at the beginning, gets beat, and says good game I feel that is a positive gaming experience overall.  As stated on the feedback section, you're more likely to encounter players you prefer than players you avoided.  This brings about good things for us as people who dont enjoy being called everything under the sun by a 12 year old.

So please use the feedback system, you dont have to sit down and spend 20 minutes repping everyone.  Just take a minute or two here and there and soon you'll be searching high and low for people to leave rep for.

Good luck Baine, not much you can do. I went through this in early December.

I agree but it depends on what you have your gamerzone set to. If it's underground you shouldn't be leaving bad rep for trash talking. Racist, sexual, personal attacks of course. They should let you pick gamerzones you want filtered from matchmaking.

I'm not sure how the matchmaking works as far as gamerzones. I dont know whether certain games take this into account, all games, or no games at all. Whenever I look at GZ's on my recent players list, I have a mixes bag of Pro, Recreation, and Underground. I've also been playing COD4 recently if that makes any difference.

good blog, I have recently started making it a point to give positive rep to teams who play a straight game in cod4. Too much negative rep flying around in that game lately..
