I don't remember turning 10, I don't remember even turning 20, 21, or 25.....so why is it getting to me that in a few days I'll be 30?  all I can guess is that in the past 10 years I can count my normal accomplishments on one hand....Graduated form college, got married, bought a house.....and that's about it.    I guess part of it is that with all of the stupid thinks I've done, I never expected to make is this long.  now, on the list of reduculously stupid thing I could write a book (and probably should except that the statute of limitations is still in effect for a few of my adventures.) Including one such time (pre9-11) involving a bunch of indepentant coal miners a case of beer a pine tree and a "misplaced" case of dinamite.......so why do I still feel like I have nothing to show for the past 30 years aside from alot of broken bones (none of them mine) and a failed drunken attempt to send a pine tree into orbit? (though it is possible a piece or two got close).

30s are pretty sweet. It’s like not just being old enuf to be an adult, but more like really, actually being an adult. I enjoyed the crap out of mine. Wish the same for you. Happy birthday.

I wouldn't call buying a house a normal accomplishment anymore. The credit and clean background you have to have these days for buying a home has almost gotten outta control. Thank you patriot act. :( My parents still don't have their own house but that's mainly due to the jobs my dad has had they have furnished him a home.

Go to a 3rd world country for a vacation, and you will appreciate everything that you have. Live it up man, have some kids, take some dumps, play some games, and drink some beers.

I guess it is time to grow up a bit...but just a bit....aka, no more spelunking in abandoned mines just outside of Centralia (if you know about Centralia, you know how stupid that was). @Rau, yeah, beer and video games sounds like a good way to spend the next 10 years.
