Since Char has decided to return to us, I guess I have to start posting cute kitten videos again…
I’m not sure if I ever posted this one, but I found this on one of my old 4mp digital cameras. This was about a week after we rescued Piedie (she was about a month old when my wife found her).
I have started working on something that may actually be the thing to drive me nuts. My Grandfather was a VERY thrifty man. He was the type to buy a mattress from a fire sale saying “just let it dry out, I’m sure that smoky smell will go away in a few years.” well, one thing he managed to rescue in such a transaction were a bunch of wooden ship model kits…. kits that are now running between $250 and $3,000 online.
I have started assembling the H.M.S. Victory….not the full ship (I’m not that crazy) but a cross section of the hull/ center mast. I’m sure I won’t be able to finish this to the degree worthy of Lord Nelson. But I am putting a level of attention into this ship that I have never given before (not even in my other models.) There’s nothing like opening the box for a new kit, even if that box only contains bundles of wood scraps and a few dozen pages of french directions.
If I manage to keep my sanity, I'll try to post a few Pics as I progress.
