Again sorry for not keeping up with this, I have been on the insane side of busy lately.

First in the past few months I finished the R770 project, the hunting rifle from my previous blog.

Then I picked up on three more projects....

I started and completed a restoration of a 1895 7.62x38R Russian Nagant Police Revolver (manufactured in1935).

A Polish Underfold AK47 parts kit (manufactured in 1973)

and an M16A1 Vietnam era battle rifle. (manufactured in 1963)

Since parts are nearly impossible to find at the moment I am just working on the basic restoration of the metals wood and plastics. so there's not much progress at the moment.

Also I have written a total of 4 books in the past 6 months.  2 are being reviewed by Editors, and the other two are currently with my illustrator....it still feels funny to say that I have editors and illustrators, but I better get use to sucking up to them since I can't draw worth crap, and my spelling and gramer suck.   I really want to talk about them but at the moment I can't go into detail since I am not sure if I will be trying to have them published or publish them myself. Hopefully by the next quarterly blog I can talk about two of them, the other two will have to wait for another 7 months (minimum).

What I will say is I am amazed how much writing has affected me, on the one hand I have 2 children's books (and another 7 that are work in progress outlines) representing everything good that I can squeeze out of my shrivled little brain, and on the other I have two (and a half so far) of what can only be described as the embodyment of every horrible/sick/demented thing stuck in my head, pouring out across a computer screen.

As far as gaming goes, I have played through Bioshock Infinate 3 times, bought and faled to get into 5 other random games, and have been continuing to play Skyrim for about 60 hours a week, and have busted ou the old SNES, NES and Genesis and the wife and I have been getting in regular Retro Game date nights that normally end with someone (me) getting hit with a controller.

Auto out.

Weapons don't do much for me, but the way your going at it; restoration, is something I can understand. That russian police-revolver is in that light, beautiful.

I have taken up writing myself, but not with an eye to earn money with it or anything. It's just something so that I don't game everyday all the day. I dabble in fanfiction and have some stories shared of FanFiction.net. It's falling short on being called pulp even... But it is fun to do.

Skyrim has been my go-to game too. Bethesda has now stopped support for it and is focusing on new projects (Rumor has it pegged as Fallout 4), but for me there's still at least a year's worth more in Skyrim. And then it will become a let's return to this game, like Fallout 3 and NV. Can't really explain it, but when I pick up one of those games... I'm lost for the day. ^^

I might as well take the whole week off work when fallout 4 releases

Awesome job on the R770 project.  That rifle looks astounding. I may not hunt or believe in using firearms for home defense, but my firing a rifle or handgun on a range is one of the most relaxing sports I've even done.  Especially prone with a rifle.  It's so much like lying down  :D

Congratulations on the writing, that's awesome!  Never fret about writing children's books and being sick and twisted ... I mean one of the greatest ever, Robert Munsch, was a cocaine addict and alcoholic.   Not to mention bi-polar and OCD.

So go forth, write children's books!  One of the best parts of being twisted and a dark sense of humour is the imagination that goes along with it.

I think I have the Alcoholic and OCD parts down pretty well.

But there's nothing like seeing a hole form in the ten ring at 400 yards with a rifle you modified yourself.   I'm tempted to take it to a 1000yrd match, but I don't know if I can even come close to competing with the pros and their $10,000 rifles.

If you are at all serious, I would sugget taking one of those classes in the middle of the desert that teach you snipe and do math at the same time. :)

Those look great! Congrats on the books. Do you sacrifice sleep or food to do everything? LOL

Mostly sleep, I'm averaging 3 hours per night on a good week.  I don't get much sleep anyway so I might as well use the time.
