He's Needed...

So, my semester was full of termoil. I just over-extended myself and didn't work hard enough. That's okay, it happens. But, I checked my grades today and have found that I passed with flying colors on all my courses except Spanish. I got a C. I thought I was actually going to fail the class, so a C is a wonderful bit of information for me! So, I need to celebrate with a little love!

And here he is: Robert Frost.

Stars
By Robert Frost

How countlessly they congregate
O'er our tumultuous snow,
Which flows in shapes as tall as trees
When wintry winds do blow!--

As if with keeness for our fate,
Our faltering few steps on
To white rest, and a place of rest
Invisible at dawn,--

And yet with neither love nor hate,
Those starts like some snow-white
Minerva's snow-white marble eyes
Without the gift of sight.

Especially read the last 3 lines. p.s. This is only the first stanza of a very long Poem Star-Splitter You know Orion always comes up sideways. Throwing a leg up over our fence of mountains, And rising on his hands, he looks in on me Busy outdoors by lantern-light with something I should have done by daylight, and indeed, After the ground is frozen, I should have done Before it froze, and a gust flings a handful Of waste leaves at my smoky lantern chimney To make fun of my way of doing things, Or else fun of Orion's having caught me. Has a man, I should like to ask, no rights These forces are obliged to pay respect to?" So Brad McLaughlin mingled reckless talk Of heavenly stars with hugger-mugger farming, Till having failed at hugger-mugger farming, He burned his house down for the fire insurance And spent the proceeds on a telescope To satisfy a life-long curiosity About our place among the infinities. ...

I was wondering what happened! And since you are trying to pad your points IACO, I felt I had to offset it by adding to her score!

So there are some secret meeting going on between you two? You know, as a basic "secret" rule you should probably not be discussing it in my blog. ;) :D

It was only a secret BEFORE Christmas! I'm really glad to hear about the binocs though. I just wish I had actually started out that way instead of jumping immediately to big telescopes. Since you have already looked around Orion and checked out the hidden stars, I'm sure you have looked (more than once) at the Pleides. They are my favorite open cluster of them all!
