Rock your face off Friday: Devin Townsend!

I am a huge, HUGE fan of Devin Townsend's work.  For those who don't know him, he's a Canadian songwriter, musician, producer, guitarist and vocalist.  His material runs the spectrum from incredibly serene and beautiful to the most brutal, intense, anger-ridden punch-you-in-the-throat-and-make-you-like-it-metal your mom has nightmares about.  In a world filled with music devoid of any "soul," this guy's albums OOZE character, emotion, and love for his craft.  He employs Phil Spector's "wall of sound" recording technique to create incredibly rich, layered, and thick sounds.  Check out his history on Wikipedia. If I included everything I'd want people to hear in this blog entry, it'd be way too long, so I'm going to limit myself some of my favs.  Buy his stuff, I guarantee it's like nothing else you've heard, enjoy!
