Shared on Tue, 05/01/2012 - 10:13My mage dinged 85 last night, increasing my count to 3 85s. So now I have my hunter waiting to be finished. After that, I’m looking at my shaman, druid or warlock. Having active toons keeps the gold rolling in, so even though I’ve not hit 100k (yet), I don’t find that I need to farm as much as I have been. Well, with the exception of leveling professions.
I think I am at the point now, what personal challenge do I have in WoW? I’ve stated over and over that I thoroughly detest dungeons, and I really only like to raid with people I truly know (and have since moved on to other adventures.) So what now? As far as I can see, the area left largely uncharted are the dungeons. This is such a huge barrier for me. I do take my performance personal, and omg dealing with the ragers and trolls is enough to make me feel real anxiety when I even think about jumping in queue. So I wonder if that is my next challenge. I was going to level my disc priest via dungeons, and ended up questing and throwing her into PvP. If I do decide to do this, I have a resto druid and a holy priest to take. Getting past this feeling of anxiety and not giving a shit, simply doing my best to learn the class and the dungeons would be a BIG accomplishment for me. Why does this even matter? Because I truly believe that no matter what you attempt to do in your life, whether it be running a half marathon, being on your game as a good employee, or leveling in the world of Azeroth, you should always do your best. Goals are goals, in-game or IRL.
D3, where does it fit in? After going through the beta, unless there was a huge area left out, I don’t see this as a game to play hardcore. At least for me. I get the feeling there was a lot that I didn’t experience, but as a game, I did enjoy it, and I can see that I will be playing, even if it does end up being casually.
Guild Wars 2. First I was on board, and then I changed my mind, and now I am thinking about changing it back. Hey, I can do that, ya know. I’m female So yeah, after watching the videos that people have put up for it, I am now leaning towards it again. I don’t think I would necessarily pay for a CE or even deluxe. Just get the game and see if I like it. Hell, I bought into SWTOR and see where that one went *rolls eyes*.
I replaced my poor broken and duct taped headset with one from Turtle Beach. (you should never ever throw your headset, just sayin’ lol) Even though I didn’t go high end, the sound quality is phenomenal. I was hearing noises in-game, that sounded so realistic I swear I thought they were coming from the house and I took them off to listen. The only downside to this is that they actually make my ears hurt after a while from the pressure. Damn, does this mean I have a fat head?
Okay, lastly… I really want to get into doing some videos even if it’s just game play. No, you won’t learn anything significant, but it would be fun for me and I would like to do editing. So yeah… there’s that. Okay, I think I have enough on my plate now… damn, maybe I should look into using a serving platter?
The day awaits – Az out.

Hanging on to a dead game :-)
Take an MMO break and get ready for all of the win incoming with GW2. Other MMOs have said it, this one will prove it, and get this...you can play with people you know from here!

Yeah, I totally get that the game is in it's twilight. I've only been playing for 2 yrs, so not nearly as done with it as say someone who's played since vanilla. I think if I didn't have so much invested with my toons, it would be easier to walk away, but I do have a couple that have great memories attached to them. Having said that, however, I decided that I am going to go forward with GW2. I spoke with one of my guildmates who played last weekend, and he gave me his opinion of it, the good and bad. Over all, the spontaneous play is very appealing, and that is what made my decision.
Now I hope they have another weekend soon (2-3 wks hopefully) because I am ready to jump in. :)

Good work! Don't be shy about jumping into the posts we have ongoing here about it. You'll get to know more of us who play all the MMOs and have more people to play with in GW2, MoP, or other MMOs when tthey come out! Plus playing with all adults has some benefits. :)

Thanks :) I did try to pre-purchase last night, but the website wasn't having it. So we'll see how long it takes to get through.
