BanHammer

Well the first person I have been friends with has recieved the "Banhammer" for apparently violating Terms of Service for the website. 

While no one asides from the Admins that enacted this punishment and The moderator that had reported it and the person banned can really say what happened.  I am shocked and saddened by the way things played out.  My friend was one of the first people I was contacted by when I joined this site.

Sadly he was addicted to the political forum and was unable to apparently control how he expressed himself.  He got called on a incident previously that I won't get into, I also won't give out any names at all.   And today, he was punished to the full ability of the website. 

The full details of what happened are unknown to me.  And will probably forever seem that way.  Unfortunately the parts I did read whilst I was reading the thread posts that caused the trouble didn't seem all that bad.  They also did not seem like a break in the ToS.  But I am not the one that has to interpret the rules.  Thats left up the the admins of this site.  I have seen things go down that are much worse in my time here.  I have read stuff that has offended me on a personal level and I handled as an adult.  As far as personal attacks, I didn't see them.  But, maybe there were PM messages that were exchanged that I am not privy to.

I am trying to play devils advocate but when I read transcripts of how people in the site chat responded to this and to say juvinille would be giving these un-named members more credit than they were due.

But there is nothing to be done.  I am curbing my opinions, I am curbing my responses.

But when some people are seemingly allowed to act as they will for whatever reason...it makes my head and heart hurt.
