The ones I have done that have been so outstandingly aweful that I think they stand alone. But, I think for the majority, my blog entries chave dealt with things I have wanted to deal with. My clan brothers (and sister), the intra clan Ladder match I have tried hard to organize and think is goign fairly well so far.
There have been positive response to my blogs and negative aswell. All comes with the territory, not everyone is going to like what you have to say. I questioned a negative rating I got in one blog with no response and I agree, if you are going to say its a bad blog, then say why. Simple response. But its not a RULE. Hey, I don't like some peoples blogs, and depending on the reason why, I have rated it negatively when necessary. This is few and far between I like to think but its happened.
Now lets actually get over the rating system, it doesn't mean anything at the end of the day. The only person that can see the blog rating is the blog author anyways. So if you have a blog rating that has gone down, or has started off as nefgative, maybe its not the person(s) leaving the ratings, perhaps its your blog entry. The only thing that is important, and I use the term....VERY flexibly, is how many times was your blog viewed. And that seems to be the most important thing around here, hence the top 25.
I was under the impression that a blog was a form of a online diary, that can use videos or pictures to go along with the general topic of each individual blog entry. What a blog isn't is a store house or display stand for soft-core adult pictures. There is a member of the site that blogs these on a daily basis. Do I have a fundamental problem with this? Hell no. I like partially clothed women. For that matter I like unclothed and fully clothed women as well. Women are just about my favorite thing to look at. I got a PM from this person that was very cordial because I left a comment in his blog regaurding the pictures. See, thats the key. I left a reply. I have given negative feedback before, especially when its a pic I don't like or if I thought it was a little TO adult. Since I got the message, I replied and I hopefully explained that I had no problem with the subject matter in the least. And the video clips I have seen there were entertaining aswell.
The ONLY issue I have with some blogs are that they aren't really work friendly. Yes, the pictures up at the top of the screen are small and hardly noticable. But they are noticable. Enough so that I when i am on this website I have to either cover that portion of my screen up or quickly change tabs when either my step-son comes in the room or when a co-worker comes near my monitor at work. When I can't view the home screen of a video gamer website due to the prescence of a image of questionable taste is on screen, it just makes me feel that I shouldn't have to be burdened by this minor annoyance when there is a entired forum set up specifically for things taht are NSFW.
My $.02 is this. If you want to post pics of hot women. Go for it. Just do it in the right place. I know enough to open blogs that I am sure will have things NSFW in them while I am at work. But the avatar used for these should have some more thought put into them. And if you don't like someones blog. Don't read it anymore, and if you feel the need to rate it poorly, you should be able to do it without someone saying you are hiding behind the internet. But I haven't been a memeber of the site for as long as some people have, maybe I am just poorly informed.
