Shared on Thu, 02/15/2007 - 16:06This blog was supposed to go in yesterday but for whatever reason, my
work PC decided to stop working early...much like myself.
I'm blogging a lot a lot...for that I am truly sorry, god alone knows
my inner thoughts should stay inner. But it has to be said, I love
this site (this was typed out well before the blog blog from Doodi, so
shut it sabre's) not enough to have some sort of domestic union
announced or anything like that of course. But it keeps me sane as the
day goes by. And with the snow we have had here and the overall sense
of boredom that is prevailing around here, well I thought I would talk
to you fine folk, who all share my love for digital entertainment. I am
not the most well known member of the website by far, I signed up I
think on August 15th of 06. But in that time I have over 3000 forum
posts under my hat and I have tried my best to organize a minor ladder
for my clan. Much to the chagrin of those same clan members, about 90%
of the posts have been in our clan forum. I have read every article
posted. I have been through in all of the forums, minus the ladies only
one. I love the book thread as well as the TV, movie and Television
threads. I have even sojourned into the football thread once or twice.
I have avoided the political forum like it was a disease rat, mainly
because after reading a few of the posts I have come to the sound
conclusion that I am amazingly uniformed about things political.
I joined up this site back when I was almost exclusively a Halo2
player, and I joined a great clan that was all about the Halo2, hell I
even order a few of the shirts for said group. I enjoyed my time
there, but I found as I grew, I was getting away from Halo2 and
exploring more into tactical games, more FPS's and other types of games.
I found that I didn't hold as much in common with this group as I did
originally. I always had to keep myself a little bit subdued in the
threads and online since I can be quite....loud, I guess is a good word
and this group was a fairly serious Halo place.
I soon found myself being asked to join the tactics group because they
answered my query about help with CHROME HOUNDS which was the big game
of the day at said time. So I joined them up, found I could be more
loud and not get people mad at me. It was more of a better fit that the
purely halo group. They were all great people, and my tactics group has
several members in it that are still in the Halo2 group. But I decided
it was time to move on. I was not well known in the group so I decided
to quietly make my withdrawal and move into tactics full time.
The poor people in Tactics have never been the same, submitted to my
poor grammar, my typing errors and general hostility towards things.
I do love this site. I feel bad that there have been issues about the
blogs, and I feel partially to blame. I have given negative feedback,
but I still believe it was warranted when I gave it. It wasn't because
of who was posting. It was my dislike for what was posted. I still
feel that this is what feedback is all about. The things I voted down,
and its not like it was hundreds, I think I have posted negative
feedback less than 12 times total, and I know I have given waaaay more
positive than that, were all things I didn't think were appropriate. It
was feedback, which is as it was intended. I didn't always leave a
response, because, well...there is no rule saying that I have to. And
if I put it negative, I am sure the blogger knew why.
