Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe.

Well after playing Legendary for as short a time period as possible so I didn't feel terribly guilty about wasting the postage paid by Gamefly to mail that disc shaped steamer to me in the first place.

Anyways, I disgrace....yes, disgrace, I was going to say digrese or however the hell you spell it but I neither care to change it or look up the proper spelling and besides the first part worked good enough to fit me anyways.

So after holding my nose and re-sealing suckengary into its hermatically sealed coffin,  popped MKVDCU into my 360 and fired it up.

I LOVED IT.   Not really, but my taste has been called into question on numerous times so what the hell.

I certainly didn't hate it, it was a pleasent enough distraction from my stomach flu however.   I played for maybe 2 hours and managed to work my way through the complete DC story mode and all of Supermans single player goodness.

Basically.  Its MK.   Nothing fancy.  You can choose between playing as either characters on the MK side of the story arc or from the DCU.  I didn't bother playing on both because honestly, from what I could gather from playing just one, they really could not have changed it up enough to make it interesting.

It has all of the regular button mashing goodness that is required for a fighting game with the pre-requisite rediculous buttons in stupid orders to make someone shoot flames out of their assholes and burn their opponents kneecaps off.  Thats purely speculation since I only barely managed how to figure out how to make Superman's heatvision to work and thats after looking at the combo lists available in the menu's.

Yeah, I suck at fighting games...so why am I qualified to review one?

I'm not, but your the schmuck still reading, so I guess I'm not the only ass on this page at this time.  Ha...friggity ha ha.

Anyways....

Pros:  Decent enough graphics, not big changes since the last incarnation.  It was nice to play as some DC characters and it was nice to see that players and their costumes take damage depending on their performance and what they go through.

Cons:  Its the same shit in a different wrapper.

Indifferents:   What?  Indifferents?   Yeah, shit that doesn't make or break a game in my opinion.  It was a rental, so I didn't waste any cash on it.   Its a fighter, and people who love fighting games, let alone people that love MK games will probably enjoy this one, its not a hallmark of the industry, it doesn't break any real ne ground.  Its frustrating as hell to someone that has never won a game versus a real person ever...even since they were 19....and no I'm not bitter so you can go screw.

Oh and one other thing...

What the Frig is up with the boobs in these games?   Jesus, I know they can make them look more realistic....seriously...I've never liked wonder woman, but they move when she walks, but not when she fights....mother blucker please.

One a scale of me getting my ass kicked by my 14 year old nephew..

I give it a 6.5 out of 10.
