My weekend with Lost: Via Domus

Sweet mother of god could they have made a easier game?

I'm not going to bother going over the plot, but if you haven't watched at least all of the first season of the TV show, don't even bother with the game.  It is pretty much made up to only appeal to fans of the show, which makes sense since its the demographic, but if you missed a few episodes...its just not going to make any sense.

I have seen all of the first season only and it still made only a little sense to me.

Graphically, its a pretty good looking game, and there is one part where you have to run through the jungle jumping over trees and sliding under other things that make me feel like I was playing a really good next-gen version of PITFALL, but then sadness came back to me when I realized I was just playing Lost:  Via Domus, Via Domus means the way home BTW, but I thought it was also short hand for the shortest game...EVER.

Its hard to not give spoilers while talking about the game since the its so short, any real details will give away game play info.  But I can say this, you will not get any sort of answer about the TV show plot, from the game.  It is a wonderful way of just throwing some show plots down, spinning them around and making a game out of them without really saying what the blue fuck is going on.

I did like one thing, the farther you get into the game, the shorter the chapters seem to get, or at least they get easier, and the AP points for finishing them get better.  the final one is 200Pts, and it took MAYBE 25 mins to get through.

Pros:  Good graphics.   REAL easy AP's.  I got all 1000pts in about 5 hours of game play.  Easy interface, the controls work pretty good.  Very good video game representation of the TV series.   I got it through gamefly.com thank god, because if I had actually paid more than 25bucks for it, I would have had to kill myself with repeated blows to the head with a coconut.

Cons:  FFS, its tooo easy.  Take a picture here, walk there.  Blah blah.  Horrible Voice acting...omg, its terrible.  I haven't watched the show, but damn, these people don't sound like that.   Aweful character modeling, they look good from a distance, and they really did make Kate's ass look good, but when you get closer, they have the wierd waxey look.  They pretty much looked like models of poeple that kind of looked like the actors, and bad models of them for that matter.  There is a Trade thing set up where you gather coconuts and waterbottles and shit.  Its completely useless, all you need is 4 torches for the whole game, other than that, don't even bother...WASTE of TIME.

I give it, 4 mangled airplane crash survivors out of 10.

AND, I know I fucked up alot of spelling, I have a friggin Migraine still and I could give a shit in a whirlpool about my spelling.
