The numb

So I dedicated my Sunday to home projects.  New Shelving in the boys room and lighting.  He has a good deal withour house.  The upstairs has two bedrooms that connect through a sliding door.  So he has a bedroom, but when you slide open the door you get the impression of a Giant room, extending from one side of the house to the other.  All woodpanel and good stuff, so I took his extra closet, which had nothing clothing wise in it and took out the doors and started the installation process of some simple wire shelving.  We went to our favorite store and got him some shelves that are about 1.5 inches to wide to fit in his closet.  No big deal, just had to trim off the excess.  Hence the brand new ultra dremel my Fiance' was conviced successfully that I just HAD to have, since I have overused my original one and sent it to the back drawer of my workshop...ie island of broken/semi-broken power tools.  So I used the new one yesterday to trim the excess off the shelving.   And all I can say is, after about 20mins of grinding and sawing with that thing at 35,000RPM my fingers were friggin numbed for about 1 hour.

Coolness.

Then replaced his ceiling lights.  The originals were just fuggin ugly, they looked like upside down Desk-lamps.   Well I took them off and what do you know, they were upside down table lamps.  Friggin idiots that put them in never even had the brain power to ground them.  Jesus on a circuit breaker, even I know better, and I am a idiot.  This lead me to a extra hour on it, because I took out the junction boxes and checked it for signs of shorts or burn damage in the wiring that I couldn't see hanging from the ceiling.  Amazingly everythign was ok and passed conduction checks I ran on them, so we dodged a bullet on that one.

I certainly hope that the people that move into this house after we leave don't curse my stupidity as often as I have cursed the previous owners ignorance.
