Appreciate the little things

What I talk about little things, I mean those in our life that we take for granted without even knowing it.  We all know it...there is nothing better than a good old laugh, at someone else's foolishness or just a really good joke in a movie.  That morning yawn when you swing your legs off the edge of the bed, dispelling that evening of sleep and drudgery and prepare yourself for the upcoming day.  Hell, even a good 'ol fart, ripped from the depths of hell and your colon can be one of the most satisfying sensations commonly available to man without turning to elicit drugs.

But go ahead and have abdominal surgery and you can kiss those all good-bye for a short time.  Let me tell you - it sucks!  It's to the point where I dread the sensations as they creep up on me, knowing that I've got to do whatever I can to stiffle it, like a burp in church.  But...it is getting better day by day, and with that said I look forward to the day in the near future that I can rip off a good 'ol bomber without fear of pain (apart from the slap of my neighbor on the couch, be it my wife or daughter).

Like the song says. " I get knocked down, but I get up again, your never going to keep me down."

I had exploratory surgery done a couple of years ago and they left a nice 14 inch scar across my belly. It still hurts on occasion if I sneeze really hard. Hope you feel better soon.
