Shared on Sat, 09/26/2009 - 16:47Today my wife and daughter headed down to my sister's place outside Washington, D.C. as part of my daughter's 12th birthday present. This evening - in a few short hours - they will be taking in Cavalia.
Due to genetics (my mother and sister are life long equestrians), my daughter has a love for horses that goes to the core. She's been taking lessons for quite some time now, and has endured late lessons, being stepped on, and the 'fall off horse face first into pile of crap'. So it's real...she's into it big time. So, I have a funny feeling this will go down as one of the better gifts she's gotten to date.
Unfortunately, due to my eldest having some activities with the H.S. marching band and, more critically, myself having a shit ton of work to do this weekend (corporate audit a week from Monday), I had to stay behind with the boys. So, we will make the best of it - have some Chicken Cordon Blue tonight and watch a random 'guy' movie from the collection, then play some Marvel Ultimate Allegiance 2 together. We'll suffer without the women, but we'll survive. :)
