Everything else is a bunch of left turns with a few 20 second tire changes for giggles thrown in. Now, I'm not including the tailgating that happens at those events into that evaluation...those, from what I've heard, are epic. But the actual race itself...Zzzzzzzzz.
One thing that does amaze me tho' is the engineering that goes into those cars. Here you have a vehicle that is built for one thing - speed. But, you also have to have it safe at those speeds for the driver and the other drivers on the track. Because...well, sometimes those wrecks I mentioned above are as epic as the pre-race parties.
The idea he not only lived through that kind of a crash, but hopped out of the car while it was on fire and jogged off the track is just awesome. So, regardless of my thoughts on the sport (and I'll use that lightly), I tip my hats to the engineers who make the cars.
