With the start of the first real football weekend upon me, I decided to hit the local package store on the way home Friday, and picked up one of the new Heineken DraughtKegs to try out. While I’m not a huge fan of Heineken, I can say this – it was goooooood! Being able to walk to the refrigerator (after taking out one shelf to fit the sucker in) and tapping a pint of beer with a nice frothy head was pure bliss.
Next off, the bad…
My wife managed to really hurt her foot this weekend. It’s been bothering her for a bit of time now, with some general aching and whatnot. However, after playing her first soccer game of the season, it really flared up in a major way. She’s now stuck to crutches to keep the weight off her heel, and is right now in the doctor’s office to find out what is wrong. Frankly, she’s more bummed about the likelihood of missing the rest of the season and cutting back on her gym time than anything else. I just hope the visit to the doctors can get it right for her finally. I know how much being in pain sucks, and seeing her hobble around like I did last year when I broke my leg is tough to watch.
Finally, the ugly…
My GOD – you guys suck. Or rather, your special teams sucks. It’s been a looong time since I’ve seen the level of incompetence that the Philadelphia Eagles special teams showed yesterday. You opponents can only manage 3 points off of straight offensive during an entire game, and you lose. Way to go douchebags! Now take your special teams and put them back on the short bus to where they belong.
