Shared on Fri, 11/06/2009 - 07:53I suffer from Gaming Attention Deficit Disorder (more commonly known as GADD), a common problem amoung most gamers. Most common symptoms include the inability to complete a game, general fondness over multiple genres, and ownership of every console made by man. Fortunately for me, yesterday I was pointed to a more viable treatment option than I have been using in the past. Previously, I've been either selling my old games via forums or (grudgingly) to GameStop. But now, thanks to SirPoonga and our glorious Site Chat, I have been pointed to Goozex.com.
Goozex is a site dedicated to trading of games and movies. It works pretty simply. You post what you have to trade away. It is assigned a point value by the site. The site puts you in line for that game, and eventually matches you to someone who has posted they want it. You get notified, and either accept or reject the trade. The recepient pays a buck to the site (how they fund the operation, along with advertising), and you ship the product. When they receive it, and give you positive feedback, you get the points. Then you turn into the recepient and repeat the process. They even have it so you can print USPS labels with delivery confirmation right from your computer.
First pass is underway now. I had Tiger Woods 2010 on the 360, Mario Kart Wii, and a Blu-Ray copy of Hellboy II sitting around, gathering dust. Well, based on the points assigned to each (750, 750, and 450 respectively), I'll be able to get Assassin's Creed II and the God of War Collection when someone is done with them, both for a buck a piece. Not a bad deal if you ask me!
So anyhoo, if you're interested in giving it a shot, here's a link to get started.
